Project Description

Delatim was appointed by Transport for London (TfL) as both Principal Designer and
Principal Contractor to deliver the complete refurbishment and migration of the London
Tram Control Room at Therapia Lane Depot.

The project involved the temporary relocation of the operational control room, refurbishment of the existing facility, M&E upgrades, fire safety improvements, communications infrastructure enhancements and
back-of-house accommodation works. All activities were undertaken within a live
operational tram depot, requiring continuous tram operations to be maintained
throughout the programme. The project was successfully delivered on programme with
seamless migration between temporary and permanent control room facilities and zero
RIDDOR-reportable incidents.

  • Development of coordinated designs for temporary and permanent control
    rooms.
